Coronavirus Updates

Due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis in the UK, all Rhythm Circle events except for Pre-Exam Workshops and RC Music Meet-Up have been suspended until further notice.

All pre-paid fees for cancelled events will be refunded in full.  We will be contacting students over the coming weeks to arrange repayments.  

The Pre-Exam Workshops and  RC Music Meet-Up will be moved online in order to support the musical activities / studies of our students.  Updates will be posted here and on the Rhythm Circle Facebook page


Rhythm Circle Holiday Club

A musical holiday club ideal for young beginners who want to take up formal music lessons. Our holiday camps are a friendly and fun-filled introduction to the basics of music.

Children are familiarised with note values, pulse and rhythms, clefs, navigation of the musical stave, dynamics, articulation, tempi and timbre.

Classes feature:

  • multi-sensory musical games/ activities
  • interactive Concerts by professional guest musicians
  • musical Arts and Craft sessions
  • musical storytelling workshops
  • DIY instrument workshops
  • wrap-around care 8.30a.m -5.00p.m

We use a multi-sensory approach to reinforce learning. No previous experience necessary.

Suitable for:

  • Juniors (ages 5-9) - young beginners with up to a year's musical experience
  • Seniors (ages 9-11) - older beginners and those preparing for music exams

Story Chimes - Musical storytelling workshops for children

A magical and creative musical experience. Learn the elements of music and use them to tell a story in our 3 hour workshops.

With the help of props, musical instruments and lots of make believe, each musical story is a collaboration between students, RC staff and guest musicians.

Suitable for children aged 5-11 years. No previous musical experience necessary but students who do have musical experience will be given more challenging composition and ensemble work

Pre-exam Workshop

An intensive 3 hour workshop packed with tips to help students ace those music exams. Focus is on general musicianship, aural and sight-reading.

Suitable for all instrumentalists and singers doing ABRSM and Trinity grades.  Juniors Grades 1-3, Seniors Grades 4-8.

Rhythm Circle Music Meet-Up

Music-making is more fun when shared....

Rhythm Circle is delighted to host bi-monthly Sunday music meet-ups in 2020.

3.00pm-5.00pm - March 1st, April 26th and June 28th 2020
There is no membership fee, just a small £5 charge to cover venue hire.

Soloists, duets, ensembles of all ages, genres and instruments welcome. We are a friendly, inclusive group of music enthusiasts who get together to share and play music, and talk about all things musical. Whether you are just starting out on your musical journey or you’ve been playing for years, come and join us!

Music students - this is a fantastic safe space and opportunity to play to friendly and supportive fellow musicians
